Technological Process

The "Chenghan" sludge dewatering and simultaneous drying technology is a significant innovation by Shuijingyuan Environmental Technology Company. in the realm of sludge reduction. The technology, which combines dewatering, low-temperature wall breaking, and vacuum drying techniques into one body, reduces the moisture content of sludge from more than ninety-nine percent to less than forty percent in a single step. The comprehensive cost of sludge disposal is significantly reduced.

The "Chenghan" technology is mainly composed of: sludge thickening system, conditioning dosing system, feeding system, host system, hot pressing system, vacuum dehumidification system, compressed air system, discharge conveying system and automatic control system. The process flow is as follows:


The first step: sludge thickening

The sludge is pumped to the thickening tank and flocculant P A M is added. The sludge is separated from the water in the thickening tank, and the thickened sludge is pumped to the conditioning tank and the P A C and P A M are added. In this step, the moisture content of the sludge is controlled to be ninety-eight to ninety-five percent.

The Second step: Feed and filtration

The thickened sludge is pumped to the plate-and-frame type filter press. The sludge forms filter slag on the filter cloth surface of the filter chamber. The filtrate is discharged through the filter cloth.

The feed system is composed of a low-lift pump and a high-lift energy-saving plunger pump. The plunger pump is used in the later stage. This method can save over sixty percent of energy. In this step, the moisture content of the sludge is controlled to be eighty-five percent.

The third step: Hot press

The hot water is pumped to the diaphragm cavity of each filter plate, and pushes the double diaphragm plate to mechanically squeeze the sludge, In this step, the moisture content of the sludge is reduced to about fifty-five percent, and the sludge is heated at the same time. "Clear Han" technology adopts proprietary double-sided heating technology to maintain efficient heat transfer and reduce drying time.

The hot water in the water tank is heated by the air source heat pump to keep the water temperature eight-five to ninety degrees;

After the filtration is finished, blow out the residual sludge in the feed channel back to the conditioning tank along the feed pipe using compressed air and blow out the residual filtered water in the filter plate groove and pipes.

The fourth step: Vacuum dehumidification

The vacuum pump is started to extract the water vapor mixture in the sludge chamber to form a vacuum in the chamber. Under vacuum conditions, the boiling point of water decreases. The residual water in the sludge rapidly boils and vaporizes. In this step, the moisture content of sludge gradually decreases to below forty percent

The fifth step: Unloading

After the vacuum dehumidification, the filter press enters the pull plate unloading procedure, the sluge automatically detaches from the filter plate and falls to the screw conveyor, then transported into the mud bin. The dried sludge can be used for power plant incineration, cement plant utilization, building materials and other resources utilization.
